Mark Praigg
Mark Praigg is founder and managing partner of Woodside Consulting. He brings over 30 years experience in business development and marketing to his practice, emphasizing service and resources to up and coming entrepreneurs and underrepresented business owners. After establishing a relationship of trust, Woodside Consulting becomes a partner in every step of their client’s business growth and development. By tailoring services specifically to the client, the client’s needs and expectations are always a priority.
Woodside Consulting reflects Mark Praigg’s broad range of experience in both the private and public sectors—retail banking; marketing and promotional programs for branch banking, including advertising, sponsorships, special events; targeted markets, such as student banking programs. Mark has served as Vice President for Regional Marketing and Community Relations for Wells Fargo Bank in Houston, Director of the Houston Minority Business Enterprise Center, and a consultant at the Houston Area Urban League (HAUL) where he offers one-on-one business consulting, business start-up information, and provides lending options to HAUL clients.
Woodside Consulting benefits from Mark’s nine-year experience with the Houston Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA)–engaging over 475 clients, helping to create over 1600 jobs, and facilitating over $645 million in financing and $577 million in contracts for the Center’s minority clients. Because of his service to the minority business community, he was recognized with the MBDA Advocate of the Year Award in 2022.
Mark hold a BA in Fine Arts Studies from California State University at Long Beach. He holds a certificate in Minority Business Certification from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a certificate in Economic Development Finance from the National Development Council. He is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum.

Richard Gianni
Richard Gianni brings over 47 years of retail financial services experience with community and regional banks to Woodside Consulting as Senior Business Advisor. His career has included many management roles, culminating as Senior Executive Vice President with LiftFund where he oversaw direct lending across their 14-state service area.
Gianni’s experience in counseling individuals and small business entrepreneurs lends itself well to Woodside Consulting. In this role he will continue his investment and leadership in the community by joining forces with Mark Praigg, Managing Director. This new venture serves economically underdeveloped communities throughout Greater Houston and helps small business owners reach their financial goals.
Gianni’s community engagement has included service on numerous boards. Selected examples include:
- Target Hunger, fundraising chairman for three years
- Museum District Business Alliance, president for four years
- Good Neighbor Health Care Center, board member
- Houston Community College School of Banking, advisory committee
